Famous Paintings
Paintings range from those by Duccio in the 14th century to works by living painters like Hockney and Hodgkin.
As well as European paintings our repertoire includes Mughal miniatures from India, Sikh and Hindu works of art, Japanese woodcuts and African brass and ivory figures.
Very good introduction to art galleries. The children enjoyed learning about artists and handling the resources. There were good opportunities for the children to observe, discuss the paintings. Also imagine how the painter may have painted. A good range of styles shown. Teacher in Bexley.

" Dear Mrs Haynes
I couldn’t believe it ! The Magic Lantern has been a pleasure to see. It was wonderful. My favourite picture was the one with the Icicles by Andy Goldsworthy. That was over the moon. I hope you come again because the presentation was awesome". From Ismail, aged 10.
