About Magic Lantern

Magic Lantern is an award-winning educational charity that engages children and adults with art history.

Children are given the opportunity to explore, discuss and bring to life famous art works, and discover the world of art from cave paintings to Cubism, Gothic to graffiti, and Turner to the Turner Prize.

Our workshops complement the whole school curriculum and help children develop a range of skills including oracy, critical thinking, visual literacy, empathy and confidence.

We also work with a range of adult learners including delivering CPD sessions for teachers on how to use art history in the primary classroom.

We are an official Artsmark Partner.
